Tree Services for the Kennebec Valley

Trees taken down, trimmed back, ground out, or cleared by the acre. We handle it all with local crews and full cleanup.

What We Do

One Crew for Everything Your Trees Need

Most tree jobs start the same way: something out the window doesn't look right. A maple leaning harder than it used to, a dead limb hanging over where the kids play, a stump you've been mowing around for ten years. We handle all of it across Augusta, Waterville, and the Kennebec Valley. That means takedowns of dead and dangerous trees, 24/7 emergency response when a storm drops something in the night, trimming and pruning to keep the good trees healthy, stump grinding so you can reclaim the lawn, and full lot clearing for new builds and overgrown acreage.

Every job runs the same way no matter the size. You call or email, we come look at the tree and the access in person, and you get a free written estimate with no obligation and no surprise add-ons. The work itself is performed by licensed, fully insured Maine tree crews with the rigging, bucket trucks, and chippers each job calls for. When the last limb is on the ground we chip the brush, haul the debris, and rake the yard before we pull out. Heat with wood? Say so and we'll cut the trunk to stove length and leave it stacked.

Storm work runs on its own clock. When wind or ice puts a tree on a house, a car, or across a driveway, we answer the phone any hour, get a crew moving, and document the damage so your insurance claim has what it needs. For everything that isn't an emergency, we'll get you on the schedule promptly once you approve the estimate. If you're still weighing whether the tree really needs to come down, start with our guide on the signs a tree needs to be removed, then have us look at it in person.

Questions

Tree service questions, answered

How do I know if a tree needs removal or just a good pruning?

A tree with a split trunk, major deadwood, root damage, or a hard lean toward a building usually needs to come out. One with healthy wood and a few problem limbs can often be pruned instead and keep standing for decades. It's hard to judge from the ground, so we come look in person and tell you straight which it is. The visit and the estimate are free.

What decides the cost of tree work?

Height, trunk size, and what's underneath the tree matter most. A tall hardwood over a roof has to be climbed and rigged down in pieces, which takes more time and gear than felling a tree in an open yard. Access for equipment and whether you want the stump ground figure in too. We put a firm number on it after a free on-site look, never over the phone.

Is stump grinding included when you remove a tree?

It's a separate piece of work because it uses a different machine, so ask for it when we do the estimate and we'll quote the job with the stump included. We grind below grade so you can mow over the spot, replant, or build on it, and we can haul the grindings away or leave them for you to use as mulch.

Are you licensed and insured?

The work on your property is performed by licensed, fully insured Maine tree crews. Maine issues arborist licenses to individuals rather than companies, and we make sure the people doing your job carry the proper licensing and liability coverage before a saw ever starts.

Do you clean up and haul everything away?

Yes, on every job. Brush goes through the chipper, debris gets hauled off, and the yard gets raked before we leave. If you want the wood for the stove, tell us and we'll cut the trunk to length and leave it stacked instead of hauling it.

Can you work on trees near power lines or right against the house?

Yes. Tight, high-stakes removals are a big part of what we do in the valley's older neighborhoods. The crew climbs and rigs the tree down in controlled sections so nothing swings into the house, fence, or wires, and when a line is involved we coordinate with Central Maine Power before any cutting starts.
